The new test report for the slip resistance of SL-SLIPSTOP on Trimax decking boards is now available in our download area. The system consisting of a PU mixture and quartz sand once again achieved the top grade R13 based on DIN 51130.
Our participation in the GaLaBau trade fair in Nuremberg from 12 to 15 September was a complete success. The various solutions for non-slip surfaces, in particular, met with a very positive response from the trade public.
We would like to thank all visitors to our stand.
On August 17th, 2018 a delegation of eight members of the municipal council of Fresenburg paid us a visit. After our presentation, the political representatives were deeply impressed by our capabilities. The size and complexity of recently completed projects prove how successful our transformation from a sawmill to the leading address for civil engineering structures really was.
At the beginning of June, it was time for a works meeting again. In splendid weather and with high spirits, the two managing directors Josef Schmees and Alfred Lühn reported on the current order situation and several upcoming tasks. After the official meeting, there was time for discussions in small groups over Bratwurst. During this meeting, the new fleet of vehicles was introduced as well.
Awareness for permanent road safety on bridges with wooden flooring – even in difficult weather conditions – is growing. Double-digit growth rates for our certified SL-SLIPSTOP system confirm this trend.
To permanently comply with legal requirements using other materials, we have now released the system for solid plastics. Tests in 2017 and a first completed project using planks made from recycled plastics have been a success. As is the case with wooden flooring: With solid plastics, you can choose the colour and number of grooves freely. Spot repair of existing surfaces is possible as well.
Schmees & Lühn is an exhibitor at the forum timber bridge construction on the 17th and 18th of April in Filderstadt. Josef Schmees will be giving a talk on preserved timber frame bridges there.
As in previous years, we will exhibit at the internationally leading trade fair for urban green and free space from 12th to 15th of September in Nuremberg.
We will scale up our booth considerably in comparison to 2016 in order to offer even more information for our visitors.
